After 15 years experience running a prominent Hollywood production company, and having worked with an array of talented stars such as Robert Downey, Jr., Sigourney Weaver, Rooney Mara, Whoopi Goldberg, Kat Dennings, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Long, Bob Saget, Rebel Wilson, Anton Yelchin and Ray Liotta, veteran producer Steve Longi formed Longitude Entertainment to purchase and develop screenplays, books, true life stories and original film, TV and Internet properties. The ultimate goal of LE is to obtain rights, develop material, attach star talent and secure financing before seeking distribution. As part of it’s innovative approach, LE will treat each project as a distinct, free standing Intellectual Property-rather than pigeonholing it as a feature film or other specific genre- incorporating a broader approach to developing its artistic and financial potential.

Longitude recently produced the comedy concert film “Willie Barcena: The Truth Hurts” directed by Mr. Longi, which just debuted on Netflix.  Longitude also recently teamed up with Michael Roth to acquire the rights to the off-Broadway musical comedy “Zombie Prom”. The film is being written by Vince Marcello and Mark Landry, the team responsible for creating Disney’s enormously successful “Teen Beach” movie franchise.  In addition to the Longitude slate, Mr. Longi is co-producing the WWII drama “Hacksaw Ridge” directed by Mel Gibson and starring Andrew Garfield.  The film will be released November 4th through Lion’s Gate, as well as the Will Ferrell comedy “Russ & Roger Go Beyond” for STX Studios.

Originally from New Jersey, Mr Longi relocated to Los Angeles and for the last 10 years served as Vice-President of Permut Presentations, Inc., an independent film and television production company.  He oversaw the development, production, marketing and release of Permut’s entire slate and began by working as the producer’s assistant on the breakout hit “Face/Off” (Nicolas Cage, John Travolta) which was to become one of the top ten highest grossing films of 1997.
